Gloria Athoe Allein cried when she saw her wedding dress Friday
morning at Holland Land Office Museum.There it was, draped over a
mannequin and on display in front of a large stained-glass window from
the church where Allein got married."It brings back a lot of memories,"
Allein, 89, said. "A lot."Allein donated the dress to the museum about
six years ago when she sold her house on Prospect Avenue, a house built
by her husband, Fred J. Allein.No longer will these deep v neck dresses
for plus size women be boring or mundane. There is now quite a good
market for them as more and more designers come up with more designs
offering beautiful cutting and a variety of colors and style to suite
the taste of women all over.Allein was a war bride and, like many women
in the early 1940s, she got married when her husband was on leave, had a
