Beyond the Basics

Perfect with an ensemble of basic bold colors or with a smaller scale tribal print and piles of necklaces in silver and gold.

Juju's khaki shorts are a great basic for flat sandals and simple tanks. Not too short or too long with a rolled cuff they'll be great with anything military or safari inspired and worn just as well with must have mint and mouthwatering watermelon. 

The shirtdress is one shape that can be reincarnated again and again with success — see Exhibit A over at Maven Womenswear. This one pulls one of my absolute favorite trends — hi, low hemline — while remaining classic with that perfect waist that begs for a middle cinching belt. 

Each summer I find a black maxi skirt in the fold of my go-to pieces. Perfect to throw on with a flat sandal and fitted worn t-shirt with some necklaces and a topknot for a Saturday or with tall wedges and a silky printed top for Saturday night.string bikiniSexy Pirate Costumes The black maxi with enough room to show alotta leg caught my eye over at Vanessa V. Basic and, yet, never boring.
